Janice Lee, Richard Garvey and Laura McDonald are artists, activists, academics, organizers, doers...and awesome. They are combining their skills to create a musical that reflects what they have learned in their lives and what they believe to be true and important.
The world premiere production of 'Rooted' on January 8th & 9th, 2010 is produced by RainDance Theatre, and is made possible through the generous support of the WLU Arts Students' Advancement Program (ASAP), the Laurier Students' Public Interest Research Group (LSPIRG), and the Region of Waterloo Arts Fund.
We've booked our venue, and the show will be the second weekend in January - we haven't set exact show times, but it will probably run from the 7th to the 9th.
Janice and Richard are finishing up the script and music, and Laura is working on a website (see sidebar) and funding applications - if you've got any leads, let us know!
